Thanks to A.R.S., the guitar back and sides are much less exposed to cracking caused by overly dry air. The double-top construction also makes the top more resistant than in many traditional luthier-built instruments. These are still concert instruments focused on the best possible sound, and keeping them around 45-55% RH will significantly extend their life.
